The Sovereign EIS Fund is a discretionary portfolio service that will invest in five companies that will invest in IP in film and television production and music publishing. The target return is £1.40 for each £1 invested after fees. Returns will be focused on capital gains, and investors are unlikely to receive any dividends. All companies in which the Fund invests have received HMRC advance assurance. The Fund will have quarterly closes.
Sovereign have also launched an IHT service in the market for unquoted Business Relief products. The service will initially focus on music publishing, acquiring the rights for existing songs and promoting these to enhance their value. It may add other trades in due course.
